Logistics on the rise in the Azores: investment of 11.5 million in a terminal

Logislink, the integrated logistics company of the Sousa group, invested 11.5 million euros in a new terminal in Ponta Delgada.

Logislink, the integrated logistics company of the Sousa group, has invested 11.5 million euros in a new logistics terminal in Ponta Delgada, in the Azores, which will be inaugurated this Monday (October 3, 2022). In a statement, the company reveals that the new Logistics Terminal in Ponta Delgada, on the island of São Miguel, “represents a total investment of 11,500,000 euros and will create 40 direct jobs”.
The infrastructure is located in Azores Park and “has a total area of 30,000 square meters (m2), with a covered area of 8,500 m2, of which 1,650 are cold storage, with capacity to store 6,000 pallets”.
The company says it is “the first multi-client logistics infrastructure in the Autonomous Region of the Azores, which will allow it to offer a wide range of logistical services to the business fabric of the region, adding a contribution to the development of the Azorean economy”.
The Sousa group is headquartered in Funchal, Madeira, and covers the areas of maritime cargo and passenger transport, integrated logistics and energy.
